I am a staunch believer of embracing new challenges and I believe diversity is a crucial element to this. One of the highest priorities for myself and the management team is creating an environment where diverse

ABOUT OUR GROUP CHAIRMAN

Karl Socikwa is an accomplished executive and legal professional with over 30 years of leadership experience in South Africa’s public and private sectors. He currently serves as Group Chairman of Idingo Group, where he provides strategic oversight and governance across the Group’s diversified interests in energy, infrastructure, logistics, and financial services.

He’s passion lies in building sustainable businesses, driving transformation, and unlocking economic value through strategic leadership and governance.

Karl has held senior roles at Sanlam Group, including Chief Executive of Sanlam Sky and Group Executive: Market Development. He previously led Transnet Port Terminals as CEO and held key leadership positions within the Transnet Group, including CEO of Transtel and Group Executive: Commercial.

He currently serves on several boards, including RAM Couriers, African Rainbow Life, Safrican Insurance, and the Rhodes University Board of Governors. Karl is an admitted attorney of the High Court and holds degrees in law and business leadership.

His experience and vision play a pivotal role in positioning Idingo Group as a national player in industrial development and economic transformation.
